ISFJ – Defender/Protector

So, I always have mixed feelings about personality tests/leadership theories. It’s always useful to do self reflection, but i think leadership theories and advice should always be taken with caution. Stone things work better with certain personalities in certain industries and environments then others.

Anyways, one of the ones I’ve taken is the Myers-Briggs test. I used to be an INTJ, but recently retook it and found out I’m an ISFJ (Introvert, Sensing, Feeling, Judging). For some who know me, the “I” part may be surprising, but apparently this personality type is one of the few introverts with decent social skills. It really does describe me well – I enjoy structure and (so I think) am generally aware and considerate of others’ feelings. However, I have a hard time expressing my own. It says I’m good at creating consensus because I like harmony on my life. I really need to review these things before job interviews.. They help me verbalize strengths and weaknesses so well!
