So, while my immediate family and I are all introverts, the exact opposite is the case with my hubs and the in-laws. It is definitely interesting to see the differences and interactions in each family. This is especially noticeable via texts, since we try to send the same ones to both families when it involves the Goob (our baby).

For instance, we once sent a picture to both families. I was off doing something, but when I came back, I saw two messages from my introverted (green) family and 11 messages from my extroverted (blue) in laws.
But, if you ever look up things about introverts and extroverts, you’ll know that they process and view the world differently too. This could be seen in a video clip we sent them of the Goob watching cars go by.

My family (left chat) immediately interpreted his reaction as very intrigued and that he loved to watch it. My in laws (right) didn’t seem to think he was as interested, and possibly bored/learning. For your information, Goob loves watching cars. Any time we go on a walk, he refuses to look away from them and follows them with his eyes for as long as he can.
It definitely makes life interesting, this introvert marrying an extrovert. We also handle things differently. My introvert family isn’t as forthcoming with our thoughts and feelings, which somewhat leads to less drama, but that’s not necessarily a good thing. There seems to be more drama with my in laws, but it’s also because they’re more open in discussing problems. Give and take!
