How to Find a Car Seat

So I found what I think is a great resource that I wanted to share for other parents. There’s a place to look up recommendations from experts regarding car seats! And sorry, just because you’re a parent, I don’t think you’re an expert. The organization is call Car Seats for the Littles. These people are Child Passenger Safety Technicians and they have both a Facebook Group and a website where you can look up their analysis and recommendations. Their Facebook Group allows you to put the information on your baby and your car, and they’ll do their best to give you a recommendation. I’m testing it out right now, but thought it was awesome! I never knew it even existed.

The website lists their recommended seats and gives you all the information about weight and height limits right there, along with pros and cons. I love it, and of course, I have my handy spreadsheet ready to make the comparisons. It’ll help to have something to compare all the “best of” lists that I see.

Also, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration also have “Ease of Use” ratings for different car seats on their site, which I also think is handy!
