Parenting has some pretty tough moments – sleepless nights (and days), crazy messes, and more. But it also comes with a lot of laughs. Sometimes, at the expense of the hubs. To be fair, there are other times, he’s laughing at (not with) me too!
For instance, the other day, the hubs had Goober on his shoulder when Goob decided to to let out a nice string of drool that dropped on my hub’s face right by his mouth. As they got closer to me, I immediately grabbed a tissue to wipe…my baby’s mouth. Hub’s reaction: “REALLY? Not me?? Bad wife!” Me: “Oops. Sorry. I’m so used to constantly cleaning the baby, it was automatic to clean him first…” Granted, my apology would’ve sounded better if it wasn’t said through laughter.
Another great moment. We’re playing with the Goob, when somebody lets out a fart. My baby immediately follows it up by blowing a raspberry that sounded exactly like the fart. I couldn’t stop laughing. To be fair, neither could my husband! The best part was, the next day, the hubs let out another fart while in the office, and the baby blew a raspberry immediately again! There’s no discrete passing gas when you have a baby.
